“Calories in / Calories out” is still a factor in every single successful diet or calorie restriction.

It is not the only factor but every successful weight loss has this involved now.

if you’re looking on social media there are people that are really shouting, that it’s hormones and not energy balance but I guess the secret sells, it is not a secret, the science is very clear that energy balance is part of it.

But it’s not anywhere near as easy as saying ” I just eat less and exercise more”, because clearly that has been what people have been saying and it’s not effective.

It’s not effective because of environment, culture, some element of genetics as well as food can be made to be hyper-palatable, as well as things that impact on your family situation.
